ICE
ICE assignment # 6-10: for my next assignment I choose to find positions that were geared toward sports and sales. I found some position s that interested me. I was able to find five positions that were located in Atlanta which is a big plus because I live there. The positions I found included ticket sales, merchandise sales, and a position selling specific athletic programs to high school athletes. I enjoyed my time spent in searching for these positions and would consider these interesting careers to explore as future job opportunities.

Guest Speaker Bill Popp
On Tuesday, October 19 we had Bill Popp as our guest speaker. Bill Popp is Reinhardt University's head athletic director and head men's baseball coach. Coach Popp has his bachelors degree from Kennesaw State  in sports management where he also played three years of baseball. Coach Popp was 11 year head baseball coach at Oglethorpe University. After Oglethrope Coach Popp was offered a position at Reinhardt as head Baseball coach and assistant athletic director. Shortly after he became head athletic director when the previous athletic director left. Coach Popp talked to us about some of the things he has done while he has been at Reinhardt. He told us that just recently he was in charge of moving our school into a different athletic conference for all sports teams here at Reinhardt. He also spoke to us about when he first came to Reinhardt. He was in charge of forming the Men's Baseball Program and Women's Softball Program. He has recently formed two new athletic teams at Reinhardt; they are Men's/ Women's Lacrosse. I found Coach Popp to be very knowledgeable about the athletic programs here at Reinhardt.

ICE
In doing this assignment I found some very interesting internship experiences. All of my picks focused on golf or tennis. I chose two tennis experiences from the same company. It was called Family Circle Cup and this is a place where professional tennis tournaments are held. Although when tournaments are not being held there it functions as a tennis club. In these positions I would be doing things like coordinating events, hosting events, stringing racquets, making lesson appointments, and attending to members needs. For the three golf positions I would be doing very similar things except they would be related to golf instead of tennis. I currently have a job now where I perform very similar tasks, however these internships could give me more experience.
