ICE 16-20
So for next set of ICE's I choose some very interesting internships. The first one I chose was a Tennis Channel researcher where I would do research on professional tennis players for Tennis Channel. The next one that I selected was a retail intern for Atlanta Spirit. where I would sell and promote the selling of Hawks/Thrashers apparel. The next one I picked was a USGA golf tournament manager for Jr. girl's tournaments in the Florida area. The fourth one I chose was a game day operator for the Hawks/Thrashers where I would assist in the set up of the arena before the fans showed up for a game. The fifth and final one that I selected was a corporate  partner for the Atlanta Hawks/ Thrashers where I would would assist in the promotion of corporate sponsors for the Hawks/Thrashers. These internships all offered different characteristics that appealed to me because I could stay in Atlanta, and they had potential growth for future career opportunities.

ICE 10-15
So for my next set of ICE experience's I chose all five topics to be different, versus similar, as I did last time. The first one I chose was an Internship from the USTA where I would be assisting in being a referee for USTA Jr. sanctioned tournaments.  The second one I chose was a youth baseball camp coach where I would coach kids baseball fundamentals. The third one was a marketing position with the Boston Celtics basketball team where I would educate youth basketball players on what the Boston Celtics basketball program offers. The fourth one, a youth athletic development coach where I would show campers different athletic opportunities by having them participate in different sports. The fifth one I chose was an accounting program with Under Armor where I would be doing accounting work for them. These experiences all appealed to me in different ways, and I felt these were experiences I had never thought about before.

Turner Field Trip
On Thursday, November 11th our class went to Turner Field. On this tour our class we got to see the hall of fame garden, the hall of fame museum, the corporate suits, a media suit, the sun trust club level, the Brave's locker room, the the braves dugout, and also we got to walk on the field. My favorite part of the tour was seeing the memorabilia in the hall of fame museum. This tour also brought back childhood memories of when I used to go to Brave's games with my dad.On this trip to Turner Field I realized there are many opportunities to work in a sports related field here.

GA Tech/ GA Dome
On Tuesday November 2, our class visited Georgia Tech's athletic training facility. Our tour started out at 10:30 where we were shown GA Tech's impressive athletic training facility. The facility included six basketball courts, an indoor soccer field, 3 exercise studios, a rock climbing wall, 4 racket ball courts, a large fitness center full of equipment, an Olympic competitive diving swimming pool, and finally another leisure pool. This was definitely a facility where many different athletes could work out. We then left this facility and proceeded to the GA Dome where we were given a tour of the whole stadium. Some of the things we got to experience on this tour were the media press box's, the patrons suits, locker rooms, and we even got to walk on the field where the Falcons play. This was a great experience and enjoyed by all.

Guest Speaker Bob Pearson
On Thursday, October 28th we had a guest speaker come to our class. Dr. Bob Pearson came to us from Berry. He started his speech by giving all of us a whistle, a clip, and a notecard. He started talking to us about some of his background information. He then passed a sheet of 15 quotes from various people. We were all assigned a qoute and had to give our opinion of it. We went around the room and everyone gave their thaughts. After we finished that he then opened the discussion up for questions we proceeded to ask questions and then it was time for class to end. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to Dr. Bob Pearson.
