Event Management
For my event management I did an event through my job at the Atlanta Country Club tennis department. The event I chose happened last week where I helped manage a Jr. USTA quickstart tournament. Some of the responsibilities I had was setting up the courts for the tournament, keeping score for the kids participating in the tournament, as well as making sure the kids were following the proper rules specified for the tournament. When the tournament started I was responsible for assigning parent monitors to each child's court. After I finished this task I began working on the set up for the awards ceremony to follow the tournament where I was busy looking at the results and determining the over all winner and the most improved player. After determining this I printed the awards and got them to the director to be presented to the kids. After this the kids left and I was once again busy breaking down the courts so we would be ready for regular tennis matches to take place. Over all in helping manage this event, I learned that these tournaments require a lot of cordination.

So in my continuing search for Graduate Assistantship I was able to find more opportunities that interested me. The first assistantship that I found was an opening at Berry College where I would be assisting their athletic trainer. For my second Graduate assistantship that I found was an opening at Vilanova Universtity in their sports medicine program where I would be working with the athletic trainer in helping athletes learn how to prevent injuries. The third Graduate assistantship I found is at University of Tennessee where I would be working with injured athletes. The fourth Graduate assistantship would be with the Lovett School where I would be assisting all athletic coaches with constructing team practice schedules. The final Graduate assistantship that I found was an opening at University of Miami where I would be helping in their Kinesiology department. In  this assistanship I would help teach athletes about muscle groups. Although all assitantships target different areas, they all focus on areas of sports I am interested in.

My first Graduate Assistantship  is an opening for athletic trainer at Bowling Green State University where I would be assisting the head athletic trainer. The second Graduate Assistantship is an opening at Illinois State University where I would help create exercise programs for the athletes at the university. The third Graduate Assistantship is an opening at Georgia Tech where I would be assisting in the sports medicine program with athletes at Georgia Tech. The fourth Graduate Assistantship is a  Men's/ Women's Tennis instructor at Eastern Kentucky University where I would be assisting the Men's/ Women's Tennis Program. The fifth Graduate Assistantship is an opening in assisting the athletic trainer at Auburn University. In reviewing these graduate Assistantship's I realized that these opportunities could potentially help me in furthering my education while attaining real world experience.
